Focal Point Network

Data in Fauna Europaea is validated by taxonomic experts and a network of national focal points. They consist of institutions or experts that maintain or host national checklists, or that can provide access to information about experts and literature resources in the country. The network of FaEu focal points also promotes issues such as best practice and common standards in checklist development.
